Disneyland Paris 2025

Our Magical Experience at Disneyland Paris

We spent two unforgettable days at Disneyland Paris during our family trip to France, and it quickly became a highlight of the adventure. Located just a short walk from our condo in Serris, the parks offered a magical blend of familiar Disney magic with a distinctly French twist.

Unique Attractions and Atmosphere

The rides at Disneyland Paris were refreshingly different compared to what we were used to at the U.S. parks. Classics like Space Mountain and Pirates of the Caribbean had their own unique flavor, making every ride feel new again. One major bonus — the park wasn’t nearly as crowded as Disneyland California or Disney World Florida, so we could move through the attractions more easily and enjoy a more relaxed experience.

Food, Fun, and Favorites

The food options impressed us, offering more than the typical theme park fare. We even found some healthy choices among the menus! Of course, the kids voted the Mickey waffles with whipped cream as the ultimate treat. We also noticed fewer shops and vendors scattered throughout the park, which surprisingly made exploring simpler and less overwhelming.

Magical Moments and Weather Challenges

While March weather brought cold temperatures, rain, and overcast skies, it didn’t dampen our excitement. The end-of-night castle show was breathtaking — a dazzling blend of fireworks, music, and projections that left all of us smiling. Character meet-and-greets were fewer than we expected, but we still shared a few magical moments with Mickey Mouse and friends.

Final Thoughts

Staying so close to the park made a huge difference. Our cozy condo in Serris, just 1.6 km away, meant we could walk to and from Disneyland Paris without any stress. Even with the weather challenges, the entire experience was pure magic and a memory our family will always cherish.

Las Vegas March 2025

13 Years Running

For the past 13 years, my friends and I have made it a tradition to head to Las Vegas for the first weekend of the NCAA tournament. This year was no exception, and it delivered everything we hoped or—good food, great games, and unforgettable moments.

Sunday to Friday Schedule

We arrived on Sunday and stayed through Friday. Monday was St. Patrick’s Day, so we hit up Fremont Street for some festive fun and dinner at Whiskey Licker Up Saloon.

Tuesday’s highlight was dinner at the legendary Herbs and Rye>, known for their amazing steaks and cocktails.

On Wednesday, we reserved recliners at Circa’s Sportsbook>—the best seat in town to enjoy wall-to-wall tournament action.

Thursday started with a hearty breakfast at Winnie & Ethel’s Downtown Diner. After that, we headed back to Circa for the free watch party, keeping the streak alive of watching nearly every game live.

By Friday, we were worn out but determined to make the most of our last day. We bounced around a few casinos until our red-eye flight took us back home to the east coast.
